The Finnish Roundtable of the SMARTUP project took place on the 9th of October 2018. It was a part of a bigger entrepreneurship event called “Tee Tulevaisuutesi” at Haaga-Helia UAS Pasila campus in Helsinki. The event included lectures on different entrepreneurship-related topics for businesses, entrepreneurs and organisation partners, staff members and students. The SMARTUP Roundtable was a side event for the entrepreneurship fair. The whole event gathered around 80 participants.
Suvi Starck presented the SMARTUP Programme at the fair to 50 participants. In addition, the project had its own stand at the fair where we invited the event participants to discuss and provide their insights for our quantitative survey. Nineteen of the visitors participated in the survey and signed their name on the list as an evidence. The participants consisted of Haaga-Helia lecturers and students, companies, entrepreneurs and network organisations. The participants were very active, they asked multiple questions and gave their insights to the given topics.
Participants were asked to look at the shown SMARTUP competences and think about their relevance in the future. Then, they were asked to submit their thoughts and new ideas to the Tricider online platform. In addition, the respondents were able to vote or comment on the competencies and skills other people had mentioned in the platform.
The organisers received many ideas and used that data to define new skills and competencies that we have not yet included in the SMARTUP programme.
